Boy George’s cover versions of will.i.am’s Barack Obama tribute Yes We Can appeared on iTunes this week.I noticed that iTunes is promoting the dance remixes in their British store. You have to search to find the EP, single, and remixes in the U.S. store.
I’m certain that many people will be perplexed as to why Boy George would cover this song and turn it into club music. I’m kind of curious myself.
To be honest, once you recover from the sight of the hideous album cover art and listen to the tracks, you’ll find that Boy George can still wail. Personally, I really like the extended version of the single that appears on the EP.
As for the dance tracks, they are pretty standard — except for Barack Obama speaking during the beat. My favorites of the five tracks are the Tomas Hedberg Dub and the Kinky Roland Stomp Mix.
I don’t know if these are getting any club play in the U.S. or U.K. But, it is funny to think that Obama’s voice is booming on dance floors somewhere.

I'm sure obama wants or actually needs an endorsement from boy george or freak of the week.its really a good thing he can sing.
