I’ve received this graphic via e-mail a couple of times over the past few days. It is kinda cool. But, if the point is to “let the issues be the issue” why is the image making race an issue? Discuss.
Anybody who thinks race isn't an issue in this election, or that racism will magically disappear when Obama is president, is living in la-la land. At least we know we're headed in the right direction, but that could turn around in a heartbeat. It's unfortunate that John McCain has to pander to such a rabidly racist GOP base. I'm fairly certain that he is not a racist himself and I'm wondering if he'll take steps to distance himself from the ultra-right once the election is over. I hope so. Palin will become their new Furor Wannabe, of course.
