The more I fume about Obama’s selection of an anti-gay bigot to give the invocation at his inaugural, the more I regret voting for him. Check out the latest on Warren’s outrageous and ignorant views on homosexuality in the clip from The Rachel Maddow Show.

I never knew Warren was such a tubby fellow. He has the physique of a whale, which leads me to wonder if a more appropriate title for his best-selling book would be...wait for it, wait for it...The PORPOISE-Driven Life.
Seriously, though, the more I hear about Rick Warren, the more disappointed I am in Obama. Did he use John McCain's vetting team to make the pick? What's next? Will Fred Phelps do the White House blessing?
I feel your pain, and I don't like Warren either, BUT....don't be too hard on Obama, as I still think he will be a great president, and I think his heart was in the right place when he made this decision. In trying to include people who supported him in the election, especially the Christian right who were Obama people, he thought he was doing the right thing. In the wake of the slaps in the face to the gay community, Warren may not have been the best choice as it seemed like salt on the wound! He was in a tight spot let's face it!
I said this in my most recent blog post:
"Obama's decision to stand Warren up on a world stage, with his well-known, hateful, anti-gay stances--is a slap in the face to the opponents of Prop 8, who are still reeling from the terrible loss. Obama's message is loud and clear: "I am everybody's President...except you gay folks...but thanks for your votes...SUCKERS! Nyah, hah, hah!" (If he had a Snidely Whiplash 'stach, this is where he'd be twirling it.)"
I'm SOOOOO disappointed in Barry for this one. I'm thinking he's an a-hole and I'm a chump for voting for him.
